Setting Text Fonts In Microsoft Word 2010
In this lecture we will talk about how to set text fonts and sizes in Microsoft Word 2010. Microsoft Word 2010 allows you to use different sizes. You can change the look of your documents by changing the fonts and their size. It is important to learn how to use different fonts. This lecture will teach you how to resize a font ant in easy steps.
Change Font Type & Size:
We will briefly outline the font buttons that we will use further in this tutorial. Below is a screenshot to show you a few font buttons.
Step:1 Select the part of the text whose font needs to be changed and click on the Home tab. Now click on the Font Type button to list all the fonts shown below Font List
Step:2 Try moving the mouse pointer over the listed fonts. You will notice that the text Font Changes when you move the mouse pointer to different fonts. You can use the font scroll bar to show more fonts available. Finally, select the desired font by clicking on the font name in the list. We have chosen MV Bid as the font.
Step 3 - Similarly, to resize the font, click the Font Size button which will display a list of Font sizes. You will use the same method you used when selecting the font type to select the desired font size.
Use the shrink and grow buttons:
You can use the quick method to increase or decrease the font size. As shown in the first screenshot, the Shrink Font button can be used to reduce the font size while the Grow Font button can be used to increase the font size.
Try clicking either of the two buttons to increase and decrease the font button and you will see the effect. You can click a button multiple times to apply the effect. Each time you click on a button, it will increase or decrease the font size by 1 point.
Clear Formatting Options:
All layouts can be rearranged to plain text, or default formatting. To reset the text to the default settings
Step:1 Select the part of the text you want to rearrange.
Step:2 Click the Clear Formatting button in the <<Home Tab>><<< font group>> or just
use <<Ctrl + SPACE BAR.>>
