Zoom In and Zoom Out in Microsoft Word 2010
Microsoft Word provides a functionality to implement zoom in and zoom out operations on a document.When we apply the zoom in operation, it increases the size of the text, while the zoom out operation reduces the size of the text.
A zoom operation only resizes the on-screen font without affecting any other feature of the document. You can apply the zoom operation in different ways which we are going to explain in this tutorial.
Zoom-in & Zoom-out using view tab:
The easiest way to implement the zoom in or zoom out operation using the View tab is:
Step (1): Click the View tab and then click the Zoom button as shown below.
Step (2): When you click the zoom button, a zoom dialog box will appear as shown below and to select a value on the screen to increase or decrease the size of the document. The Zoom option box will appear. By default it will be 100%, you can choose 200% to increase the font size or 75% to reduce the font size.
You can also send a view at the many peoples by entering a value in the box provided.
Step (3):Once you have selected an option, click OK to apply the changes to the document.
Step (4): Try the different options are available for Example Page Width and Text Width.
Zoom-in & Zoom-out using (+) and (-) Buttons:
The following screen capture shows two buttons: Zoom out which is (-) button and Zoom in which is (+) button.
Step (1): Click on the Zoom Out button, you will see that every time you click on the button your document size will be reduced by 10%. Similarly, if you click on the Zoom in button, the size of your document will increase by 10% each time you click on the button.
Step (2): Try this simple operation with different values to see the difference. The above screen captures 140% zoom in-view of the captured document.
