undo and redo in word

Undo and Redo the Changes in Word 2010

Microsoft Word offers two key features called Undo, which is used to undo a previous action, and Repeat or Redo, which is used to repeat a previous action. For example, if you accidentally delete text, you can use the Undo feature to retrieve it, and if you delete a character and you want to delete more characters, you can repeat. Can use the operation.

How to use Undo & Repeat operations:

You can access the Undo and Repeat buttons from the Quick Access toolbar. You should note that the Repeat button is also called the Redo button and both operations have the same meaning.

The easiest way to execute undo or repeat button undo or repeat operations

Step (1): Let's type some text into the blank document as I wrote above. Now click on the Repeat button and you will see that the word repeats the same operation for you.

Step (2): Now to review the undo operation, let us delete the letter of the last word operation so that you have the following text left. Cancel the operation.

Step (3): Let's try to click on Undo button one by one. You will see that the task will recover all the deleted characters one by one after performing some Undo operations.

Shortcuts to use Undo & Repeat operations:

Although you can access the Undo and Repeat commands from the Quick Access Toolbar, since these commands are the most commonly used commands, I would recommend memorizing their keyboard shortcuts which are as follows: Are:

Shortcut                                     operation

Ctrl + Z                                    Undo the previous operation.

Ctrl + Y                                    Repeats the previous action.

Note that if the previous action was undone, Ctrl + Y repeats the undone action.
